Been pretty busy getting ready for the holidays. I'm like 99% ready. Woo hoo.
This will be the first year that my family celebrates Christmas separately. We will have Christmas with my father on Friday night, and then Christmas with my Mom on actual Christmas day. I'm pretty bummed about it, but I'll be fine. Who would have thought that at my age I'd be dealing with my parents divorcing. Oh, if you didn't know that was going on, ya do now.
Saturday is Festivus at our house w/Dave and the kids. Totally sucks that our Granddaughter Maija won't be there, nor will Jen's man Adam Jock Itch. We'll celebrate w/them another time. We will be having the traditional Mel's Family meal which consists of big ass steaks on the grill, diced red potatoes w/seasonings etc. baked, and steamed green beans. We'll follow that up with a shit ton of Christmas Ale and white wine, as usual. It is definitely my fave holiday since we all get to be together. Flag Day is probably my second fave, and in my opinion, completely taken for granted.
I think the holiday stress is getting to me a little. I've totally broken out again! And I really don't care for the vain reasons one might think, I care because they freakin' hurt!
We went to see Bob Seger on Saturday. Dudes, for an old geezer he can still rock and roll! The show was awesome. Somebody spiked my drink and my friend Kerr's drink and it made us act all goofy, and share shart and shat stories that we normally wouldn't. Also, she tells me I yelled at her, but she doesn't remember and I don't remember so I think her boyfriend is making shit up to break us apart.
